As I sip on the gift of hope
Just as the gift of love
I realize that we are destined to be with each other
Just like the ocean waves and the sand on the shore
As I sip on the gift of faith
Just as the gift of life
I realize that no matter how much we are apart
We are destined to touch each other gently
Just as the leaves on the trees and the summer breeze
As I sip on the gift of love
By looking into your eyes
I thank the universe and God Almighty
For creating devotion, a gift of beauty.
As I sip on the gift of life
Just as the gift of pomegranate wine
I realize how likely it is for the raindrop
And the flower pedal to be touching again.
As I sip on the essence of eternity
From the heavens beyond the endless skies
Just as a plane in the clouds, a boat on the sea
Just as the tires of an automobile on the paved road
Just as my shoes on the sidewalks
We might always touch each other
Yet keep on moving in our separate ways,
One of us anchored the other propelled.
