'SURREAL TRASH IS GOOD FOR YOU' MOM SAYS

	by Ani Boghossian

When the world goes extremely koo-koo
I like to hide in my closet
And play sudoku on my phone...
I can reach the last level
By World War III, I'm sure...
Today my phone's batteries are low...
So I cough a good deal of Guerlain on my shirt
It all starts with oil paint
Than the colors scream for Clint Mansell
Because I've been painting the moon
So the moon is high, my Jamaican friend
	Respect me for my shoes
	The flooring is deep.
	My psychedelic friends laugh
At the tints of shafts swirling in the mist
	And I stare and stare
At the heavy flamenco of atmospheres in blue
In which staring elves are cuddled
	Sitting on Echmiadzin roofs
	Their knees skinny
	Like the branches they kiss,
	And there are cats
That tap dance with top hats
	And Louis Armstrong dogs
In the alley pubs of gingery dust
They puff in the air as the old bicycle glide on them
	Through Nalbandian, Kirov
Their riders are snoozing on the velvet
	Fields of grain
	That are to become
Holly bread in the Nazi ovens
They say they love the smell of lavash
The `Young Turks' of Van, Bitlis, Kars
Gramps didn't make it when he went for water
The brides of joo-joo stars are crying in deserts of
	Ginarbe's grave....
It has a line, a straight line on my spine
	I love it here, dad,
Will call you tomorrow, after GMUN....
