WE TOO SHALL FALL by Knarik O. Meneshian Days shall come and days shall go and like a leaf upon a tree we too shall fall and mingle with the soil. It seems that such thoughts occur more than once when Life takes on more shape and form, but like a storm it does pass until again we see another leaf fall from a tree. Once more, we wonder, What is Life? Just then, memories of long ago whirl by-- "...it seems like only yesterday when we..." And then, looking at our children, we realize that someday they too shall say-- "...it seems like only yesterday when we..." And so, days shall come and days shall go and like a leaf upon a tree we too shall fall and mingle with the soil. -- Knarik O. Meneshian is a writer and teacher. In 1991 she taught English (ESL) in the Spitak region in the village of Jrashen, Armenia. In 2002-2003, she and her husband did volunteer work in Armenia, which involved teaching English and computers, in Gyumri and Tsaghgatzor. Knarik's various works - articles, poems, short stories, and reviews have been published in Armenian and American publications. She has authored a collection of poems titled "Reflections," and she has translated from Armenian to English the book, "Musa Dagh - The Banishment of Zeitoun and Suedia's Revolt" by Rev. D. Antreassian.
