TOO OF ONE BY KEVORK KALAYJIAN When you are in love You are in an unimaginable state, As if you are in your mother's womb. A feeling which you have experienced But you cannot recollect - To come out of it, to be real again, You have to go through the shock Of coming to this world, the pain of birth, You have to cry, and you might seek help. Your occasional smiles are wrinkled The sadness - does not go away, No matter how many lines are drawn on your face Or how many new meaningful relationships Or new friends you have made again. You may try to jog through the dark roads, In the darkness all roads lead to the shore, Where sitting on the bench Is the girl from the Far East Studying computer science! * * * I can't resist the urge to touch I can't avoid my desire to see I want to smell the smoothness of your tender delicate body. -- Kevork K. Kalayjian, Jr. A graduate of the AGBU's Melkonian Educational Institute, Nicosia, Cyprus, holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ, and a M. Ed. Counseling Psychology, from William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ. Kevork resides in NY with his wife Maral, and three sons Aramazt, Tro, and Ohanes.
