INFLAMED SUMMER By Grish Davtian The summer is torrid of my hot love, Sizzling and scorching from my roasting passions; The sun has fallen into the forest of my love, And has started a ruthless fire. I am unable to distinguish your eyes from the sun, They are so shining with the flame of love, It is from my love that bonfires have erupted In the depth of your eyes with the heat of summer. The summer is hot of the searing of my love, Your caressing is warm and your bosom is warm, My heart has blossomed to the edges of the sky, The fire of my love is much so in the summer. It is of the burning of my love that the summer is torrid, Up-surging with blistering of my elements; The sea in my bosom is flooding from the deep, Overflowing my spirit with a torrential storm... The summer has fallen into the fire of my love, Become red-hot of your love, I am not feeling the hot of summer, As furnace of my heart has wholly erupted… -- Grish Davtian was born in Nor Jugha, Esfahan, Iran.
